Mexico. Dec. 7, 2020. The Mexican Institute of Industrial Property (IMPI) and USPTO agreed to a new worksharing arrangement, PPG (Parallel Patent Grant). This new worksharing is in addition to the Patent Prosecution Highway (PPH) already in effect since 2011 between IMPI and USPTO. Use of PPG and PPH can save costs in Mexico for companies and inventors needing patent protection in both the US and Mexican markets.
